Aims & Scope
American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high quality, original papers that contribute to the methodology of operational research and to the practice of decision making.
AJOR contains the following types of papers: (1)Invited Reviews, explaining to the general OR audience the developments in an OR topic over the recent years (2)Innovative Applications of OR, describing novel ways to solve real problems (3)Theory and Methodology Papers, presenting original research results contributing to the methodology of OR and to its theoretical foundations (4)Short Communications, including comments on papers previously published in AJOR.
All the manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review process. Generally, accepted papers will appear online within 3 weeks followed by printed hard copy. The journal publishes original papers including but not limited to the following fields:
We are also interested in short papers (letters) that clearly address a specific problem, and short survey or position papers that sketch the results or problems on a specific topic. Authors of selected short papers would be invited to write a regular paper on the same topic for future issues of the AJOR.
