Aims & Scope

ETSN is an international refereed journal dedicated to publishing state-of-the-art research in the field of e-health applications in telecommunication systems and networks. The journal focuses on systems, algorithms, and applications of e-health and medical telecommunications. Generally, accepted papers will appear online within 3 weeks followed by printed hard copy. ETSN publishes original research as well as review papers in the following areas:

· Biomedical communications

· Biomedical sensors and instrumentation

· Biomedical signal processing

· Body area and sensor networks

· Clinical ICT application

· Collaborative technologies in e-health and telemedicine systems

· Consumer health informatics

· E-health and m-health systems

· E-health in public health

· Grids

· Healthcare applications

· Healthcare information systems

· Healthcare systems and services in transition: e-health, telemedicine and conditions for innovation

· Medical informatics

· Patient pathways and coordinated care

· Prevention and self-management

· Security and privacy issues of e-health systems

· Wearable sensors and systems

· Wireless communications and mobility

We are also interested in:

1) Short Reports – 2-5 page papers where an author can present either preliminary data or an idea with theoretical background but has not yet completed the research needed for a complete paper or preliminary data;

2) Book Reviews – Comments and critiques.
